English speaking world the height of a horse or pony is expressed in "hands -
inches" units. On our website we express the height in Dutch units (cm). Here we
present the translation between the two units.
The
calculus is as follows: 1 hand = 4 inches ; 1 inch = 2.54 cm.
Therefore 16h2" = 16 hands + 2 inch =
(16 * 4 + 2 ) * 2.54 cm = 167.64cm = 168 cm
